Introduction

Certificate English Language @ A Goal! This textbook on English Language titled Certificate English Language @ A Goal! is not the first English Language textbook in the market and it is not meant to substitute any before or after it.

It is written as a target, straight at the bull's eye of English Language at the certificate level, giving an anatomy of each paper (1, 2 and 3) in a simple language/manner that demystifies the subject as a difficult one, so that every reader becomes confident enough to consider himself or herself a potential success candidate for the English Language at the certificate level. (b) Expose the rudiments of the English Language papers, showing a simplistic way of handling them.

(c) Treat in details, every topic in the syllabus that
has found its way into the question arena.

sacrifice, determination and hard work to a sure success in English Language at the certificate level.

The English Language Paper was restructured in 1996, both in the May/June SSCE and the November/ December GCE Examinations. We now have papers 1, 2 and 3 instead of the former Theory and Objective papers.

As simple as the examination bodies like WAEC & NECO have made the syllabus, candidates still do not know how to handle the English Language paper. Certificate English Language At A Goal! is written to target directly the subject at this terminal stage with all its embodiments.
